MAYOR REIM'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS
• In the last five years, the City has spent over $49 million on projects with over 30% paid by grants and forgivable loans
• Ephrata moved from a “Town” to a “City;” Population is now over 8,500 residents

• Refurbishing outdated Wastewater Treatment Plant that was built in 2000
• Hired two Engineers who now do the work that was contracted out; saving the City millions of dollars on projects. The process is more efficient and conserves time
•Hired a Code Enforcement Officer and Assistant Building Inspector; several new employees in the Public Works Department and City Hall building; 25% new employees in the Police Department
• With the purchase of Rite Aid complete, we now have the ability to deal with our space issues

• Update Comprehensive Plan dealing with Growth and Development
• Reinforce Code Enforcement Policies
• Review FEMA Flood Zone requirements
• Continue to make Ephrata a desirable place to live, work, and raise children by fostering an open, safe, and secure environment


• Collaborate with social, educational, and moral institutions to promote and reinforce positive, ethical values within the community
• Ensure the City provides essential taxpayer-funded services – including but not limited to roads, water, and sewer – through transparent and effective communication
• Maintain public safety by supporting police and fire departments
• Offer recreational opportunities that encourage healthy, balanced lifestyles and enhance the overall well-being of the community
• Complete the enlarged building for City Hall and Police Dept. to be user-friendly for public use
